Senior Debutante and Beau Program

This program is modeled after the traditional Debutante and Beau programs but with a twist. Our ladies and gentlemen are assigned a mentor, who is responsible for volunteering her time to support and guide her mentee. But, all mentors are available to assist any student in our program. So, whether you need homework help, need help deciding on a new high school or college, are feeling discouraged, or need a little motivation we are here to help.

This program typically runs from September/October until March/April. All students participate in community service activities and attend various social events that have included such things as seeing broadway shows at the Hippodrome Theatre, volunteering for the Maryland Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the Baltimore Marathon, caroling at local nursing homes, and attending festivals (e.g. Maryland Renaissance Festivals), amusement parks, and sporting events. We also have fundraisers throughout the year to provide resources and scholarships for our students.

Students also participate in etiquette classes that reinforce things such as table manners, courtesy, respect for others and property, and interview skills. Time management, study habits, and how to handle difficult situations are also discussed in our etiquette classes. A Cotillion Ball is in the Early Spring of the year. During this time our young ladies and gentlemen are introduced to society, their accomplishments are showcased and scholarships are awarded. 

Debutantes  Requirements

In order to participate in the Debutant program students must meet
the following guidelines:

• Rising 12th Grade or College Freshman
• Maintain a B (80%, 3.0) average
• Exhibit respect for self and others
• Attend etiquette classes/events
• Participate in mandatory community service events
• Attend all Cotillion Rehearsals
• All students are responsible for selling Ads for the Souvenir Book

Students are also expected to: 
•Report to school daily and prepared to learn
•Present oneself in an appropriate and orderly fashion at all times
•Demonstrate personal honor, integrity, good citizenship and behavior in school and community daily

•Take responsibility for behavior and consequences

Dues: $450 (this covers the entire 12 months of the program). A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to enroll the student (this is deducted from the total yearly dues.
